How to Make Chaga Tea with Chaga Powder
Published · Updated
Skip the hours of simmering. Make smooth chaga tea in minutes with chaga extract powder.
Chaga is a mushroom that grows on birch trees in cold northern forests. People have brewed it into tea for centuries, usually by simmering chunks for hours. Chaga extract powder gives you the same earthy, coffee-like drink in a couple of minutes.
What you need
- 1 serving of chaga powder (about 1/2 gram)
- 1 cup (8 oz) of hot water
- Optional: honey, maple syrup, cinnamon, vanilla or milk
How to make chaga tea
- Add the chaga powder to your mug.
- Stir in a splash of hot water to make a smooth paste.
- Top up with the rest of the hot water and stir.
- Add honey, cinnamon or milk to taste.
What does chaga tea taste like?
Chaga tea is mild, earthy and a little like coffee or vanilla, and much less bitter than reishi. It contains no caffeine, so it's a popular coffee swap.
Chaga tea recipes to try
- Chaga latte: whisk chaga powder into warm milk with maple syrup and a pinch of cinnamon.
- Chaga coffee: stir a serving into your morning coffee for a deeper, earthy flavor.
- Iced chaga tea: dissolve in a little hot water, pour over ice, and add a splash of milk.
- Mushroom morning blend: pair chaga with lion's mane powder in coffee.
Why chaga extract powder?
